There is a version of this film "the winner" in which it is almost true to Alex Cox's vision. (you see this film was re edited without Alex Cox's knowledge). I am trying to find this other version of the Film. It was made in Japan. Does anyone know how i can find it???

From an email conversation I had with Alex Cox several months ago about 'The Winner', I understand that the Japanese version is only a partial restoration of what Cox intended: i.e some of the 'Pray For Rain' soundtrack was restored and a few scenes that were cut were added back. I don't think the Japanese restoration ever made it to DVD, just to either laserdisc, videotape, or possible both.
This is a pity, because I have a feeling that Cox's edits would have made the film so much better (and lord knows that the substituted soundtrack is pretty sad).
