What was the cook's fate?
I didn't even relise that 4 people died until i read some of these threads because i must have missed it, or did they imply it? Did he simply get lost or did he get stuck inside the ship too?

shareHe either sunk with inside the ship or just went under and drowned. He never showed up with the others so you just have to assume he was swept away.

You both must have missed it. He jumped off of something, i think it was a sail, when he landed something stabbed him and the water filled with blood, then it shows him tangled in the sail ropes under water.
shareI watched this on daytime TV so it could have been edited out because of the blood. Damned censorship!
shareI own this DVD, and I've been watching it for years. I've never seen any blood. I'll watch it again and check, but I thought he just drowned.
shareYeah. It's not blood. It's a sail or tarp or something like that. They're rust-colored above water in the movie (at that point anyway) but more red-looking underwater. It looks like he falls. He gets tangled up in the ropes. You see him pushing on the sails or whatever they are, trying to get around them and get to the surface. No blood, though. I knew I wouldn't have forgotten blood.
