I JUST HATE YOU...

...AND I HATE YOU'RE @$$ FACE!!!

How many more "funny angry quotes" can you find in Christopher Guest movies?

reply

Now someone who didn't see the movie would wonder why you would come on here shouting such things. Fortunately...I get the joke, and agree it is one of the funniest lines in the movie....

I'm not trying to be annoying...it just always works out that way.

reply

"Well, you don't know my dog. You OBVIOUSLY don't know my DOG!"

"You want your Busy Bee? LOOK AT ME. Don't you look at the fat-ass losers or freaks, you look at ME."

...hahaha, and the way Jerry Palter acts so snobby about the New Main Street people. "Of course it's all commercial now, what with the NEW MAIN STREET SINGERS. [dramatically rolls eyes] What's with that?"

reply

"YOU CAN'T *beep* PLAY BECAUSE YOU CAN'T *beep* CONCENTRATE ON THE *beep* MUSIC!

IT'S YOUR *beep* WIFE!"

"She's not my wife!"

"WHATEVER *beep* SHE IS!"

Nigel and David's infamous spat during the recording session.

the quotes about the music and the wife..
why do i not have any recollection of these scenes?? did i miss something?

I'm a wishful thinker with the worst intentions

reply

I believe these are quotes from other Guest Movies...as far as I know they aren't from Guffman.

The dog quote is from Best in Show

The New Main Street Singer quotes is from A Mighty Wind

The music and wife quotes are from This is Spinal Tap

"Larry sweetie, that mang is here."

Parker Posey is pretty angry throughout Best In Show, and my favourite line of hers is 'Thanks a lot, you stupid... hotel manager!'

I saw Guffman for the first time last week (unbelievably, it didn't get a theatrical release in the UK) and it's a beautiful, hilarious film. Now I read that the US DVD has deleted scenes and (presumably) a commentary. You bastard people...

I love using that whole "baassstard people" line. It comes in handy on many occasions.

I have to agree that Parker Posey is absolutely a gem in Best in Show.

My fav. line from her in that movie is the one where she tells her husband that if they don't find the Busy Bee that their dog is TOTALLY GOING TO FREAK OUT!!

Of course, the dog doesn't seemed the least bit distressed, but Posey is hysterical. I just love the genius of scenes like that.

I must also agree with the OP about the best anger lines. They are most definitely from Waiting For Guffman:

I hate you, and I hate your ass face!

And

You're all bastard-people!

Lord, beer me strength!

You know it's like: how many babies can you fit in the tyre? you know that old joke

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room
