Yes, it sounds like I made it up, but it is true. It's in development and let's hope it happens - as long as it's as funny as the film (which, thinking about it, is impossible)...

shareI don't see how they could mess this up. If they used all the original songs it should be funny enough. But I think only Christopher Guest should play Corky. That should be a law. :-)
shareI admit that I was a tiny bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Johnny Savage's stage debut. Maybe they write a couple new scenes for him.
I remember when I first saw Guffman, Johnny Savage had such a lack of personality and stage presence, I assumed that Matt Keeslar was a model/non-actor. Of course I've seen him in a couple movies since and realize that he is quite a good actor.
It just goes to show that it takes a good actor to portray someone who is very UNtalented.
