Yes, it sounds like I made it up, but it is true. It's in development and let's hope it happens - as long as it's as funny as the film (which, thinking about it, is impossible)...

Where'd you hear about this? I googled a bit and didn't see anything. Of course, I'd have to go see it.

I don't see how they could mess this up. If they used all the original songs it should be funny enough. But I think only Christopher Guest should play Corky. That should be a law. :-)

I admit that I was a tiny bit disappointed that we didn't get to see Johnny Savage's stage debut. Maybe they write a couple new scenes for him.

I remember when I first saw Guffman, Johnny Savage had such a lack of personality and stage presence, I assumed that Matt Keeslar was a model/non-actor. Of course I've seen him in a couple movies since and realize that he is quite a good actor.
It just goes to show that it takes a good actor to portray someone who is very UNtalented.
