Is there anywhere that I can download the songs from the play?

shareI don't know about Downloading, but I CAN tell you there is a VERY limited edition soundtrack available.
It's called "Red, White & Blaine - The Musical"
I picked one up for $50 two years ago from a rare CD dealer.
it has songs NOT in the film like:
- "Nothing ever happens in Blaine" (the counterpart to "Nothing ever happens on Mars" which is included)
- "This Bulging River" which never makes it in except as musically as part of the overture and end credits
- "Covered Wagons and Open Toed Shoes" is another that never made it in.
- there is a different version of "Penny for your Thoughts".
- The Blaine Panther Fight song, the Overture and "Bubbe Made a Kishka" round out the disk.
it's AWESOME!
Best of luck tracking one down - it took me over a year to find it...
Yeah, I have that CD, too. I got it on Ebay. Too bad it wasn't given a wide release.

shareOn the A Mighty Wind DVD a special feature shows the entire concert as it would have been seen on TV. I wish they'd done that with the entire play on the Waiting for Guffman DVD. I would love to watch the whole thing!
