Ummm....Daddy?
I'm trying to see this from both sides. If I was a call girl and showed up to a hotel room to see my FATHER there ready and waiting, I'd die of embarrassment. I wouldn't take the attitude that Kristin Davis did, the whole "You're cheating on MOM!" take. Men cheat, and honey, you're a prostitute and already know that your clients are most likely married men. She was so annoying I kinda despised her.
What the father should have done was just have a heart to heart with Davis, and say that Mom just isn't interested much in sex anymore, their sex life is non-existent so just lighten up about my cheating on her. What she doesn't know won't hurt her. It's not unusual for a man to cheat on his wife. What **IS** unusual is the father having a daughter who is a prostitute. I'd probably tell Davis that I love her, but PLEASE stop being a prostitute. And let's just keep this between ourselves. No judgement. Just concern for her being a prostitute which is dangerous.
Of course it's Lifetime, so Davis gets all morally superior and the husband gets it in the end. Bad man!! Always the bad man in these movies. uggh. I grew up with a frigid mother and would have totally understood if my father cheated on her. He didn't, but I'd understand, and besides it's NONE of my business.
Interesting premise, but not a great story.
