How Many Balls?
I only caught the end of Tin Cup but I was suprised that Roy McAvoy got to shoot more than one ball. I thought you got one chance to get as close to the hole as possible. Why did he get so many chances?

shareDon't know who told you that but they were dead wrong. You get to hit as many balls as you can carry over the course of a round. The only problem is that every 'drop' counts as a stroke.
The rules also allow a player to borrow a ball from a fellow competitor.
That Romeo had so few balls in the bag (especially considering Roy's reckless attitude) is highly unlikely but there's a lot of dramatic effect in this movie.
