Why is she so easily cast as the love-interest of the washed-up-but-could-have-one-more-in-him sports hero? The character she had in this is really darn similiar to her character in Major League w/ Tom Berenger. She's educated, he's kind of a yokle, she's in a different stage of life, he doesn't really change stages. Costner and Berenger are wash-ups, although one is a baseball player and one is a golf pro. Wierd. Why'd I bother with this? I just don't know.

I really liked this entire movie, except for her character on the last hole at the Open. Her incessant cackling made me want to shove a pitching wedge down her pie hole. And her dialogue was annoying as hell! GGRRR. She ruined the entire finale with that laughing. Roy should have told her to stfu.

Her whole performance in this movie is really horrible, it's almost like she's hammered or on a lot of medication the whole way through, especially in the scenes where she's supposed to be conveying that she's falling for Roy, they're really forced and uncomfortable.

Still a good movie though, but her part really should have been better cast.

Yeah, it did! Especially in the beginning with that skirt on, when he told her to waggle the club... instead you see her line up her ass with the shot.

Pretty much agree with that. Her nervous cackling as Roy was trying so hard to get psyched up for his last possible attempt made me shout abuse at the screen. "STFU!!!" Come on dammit it's the US Open and anyway there are supposed to be officials all over making sure the crowd remains silent, right?. That means you too bitch! Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess it's all subjective. I love her laugh. She had a good movie year with this and Thomas Crowne Affair.
