Carl Lee's acquittal was jury nullification

Carl Lee's acquittal was jury nullification. The jury knew he was guilty, but decided to acquit him because they felt sorry for him. Jury nullification is legal, but Jake was begging the jury for nullification, which lawyers aren't allowed to do. He did attempt to argue insanity, but it became clear nobody would believe he was insane, which he clearly wasn't, so he then pushed for jury nullification, he didn't mention insanity once in his closing statement. I definitely think he should've been convicted, I don't feel sorry for the rapists, but allowing vigilante justice sets such a bad precedent. And if the court believed he was insane, he should've been sent to a psychiatric hospital.
