At the end a young girl bursts from the courthouse, apparently immediately upon hearing the verdict read, and she is shouting "Innocent!"
However, the verdict could only have been Guilty or Not Guilty . . . "Innocent" is not a term that she would have heard.
This has always bothered me.
It wasn't a *goof* as much as a child's interpretation. Nobody used that word in the court, most likely.
In a kid's eyes, if he is not going to prison, he's *innocent*.

It was a boy. And if you're not guilty you ARE innocent. I mean the phrase is "Innocent until proven guilty" right? Well he wasn't proven guilty so therefor he is innocent.
