A ridiculous movie based on a ridiculous book

The book is absolutely painful - a pop fiction writer like John Grisham trying to take on a serious topic, and it's just sad. And the movie is just as bad, with all the stereotypes and obviousness. Not to mention the lightweight Matthew McConaughey in the lead.

People who like either the book or movie version are just brain dead.

The book was also based on an actual event. Course there were two rape victims not just one.
