Seriously? 50k imdb users have rated this film and all it got was a 6.9? I expected at least an 8.0, I'm so disappointed.
Get some taste people, you've probably been dishing out 10s to Avatar, The Hangover and their overrated brethren.
Shame on you.
6.9 seems a bit high, actually. Not many laughs, not much drama, and the music sucked (and I love good early-60s music).

I actually think 7.0 is about right, maybe a touch higher. I watched the film because it was in that MSN list of underrated films. It's a feel-good, entertaining film but too lacking in depth to be anything more. Another Tom Hanks film was more deserving of being on that list: Joe Versus the Volcano.
