The Substitute is an excellent movie. I really enjoyed it. I can't say anyone in the film did a bad job. However like Robocop, this movie had too many sequels, and it kinda ruined the orginal movie for a number of people. But I still love it.

The sequals were good.I cant see why anyone wouldnt like the sequals.Part 2 had Joey 6 from the original and Shale was mentioned.3 and 4 took place at diffrent types of schools rather than a highschool.Treat Williams made a good substitute and replacement for Tom Berenger.
If the substitute would have had a diffrent star/substitute each movie that would have ruined it.
never thought I'd hear Treat Williams and good (anything) in the same sentence...heh

I liked the 1st and the 3rd the best. I thought that for the 2nd one there were some parts that were too much like the first one. I did like it tho that they kept the same actor and same role for the sequels. I think for the Bloodsport movies they had the same actor in 2, 3 and 4 but his charatcer is different in 4 then it is in 2 and 3.
shareI agree. The second one was enough, the 4th one was sooo stupid i dont know why treat williams would even agree to it. I mean the only reason I even barely watch the 2nd one is because the character of Joey Sixx is in it but its not played by the same guy though

shareyeah the sequels are kind of silly but just try and judge each film on its own merits. this one is definitely an A+
