Please remake this with Jason Statham

I think he would be great for a remake of this movie. His fight scenes are often times money and he delivers on the quips as well. The character of Shale was made for him ex military with a heart of gold and a sense of humor.

YES!! I will watch any Jason Statham movie and we'll watch it several times over!!

Stathon would be a very good actor for a re-make of "The Substitute". I definately agree. If not Stathon though,i can think of a few others that would be equally or almost equally as effective for this character role.

-Vin Diesel
-Dwayne Johnson aka-The Rock
-Liam Neeson
-Michael Jai White
-Wesley Snipes
-Joe Rogan
-Jean Claude Vann Damm
-Dolph Lundgren
-Steven Seagal
-Will Smith
-Queen Latifah

Dwayne Johnson too big and huge for the role. Has literally more muscle in his traps than most people have in their whole body. Think of Steven Seagal in Under Siege except on steroids. Him versus Marc Anthony? LOL.

For the love of The Universe: NO!!! Enough with the remakes. Come up with something original!

Always look for the positive in every situation.

While I am against remakes too, this doesn't seem like a bad idea...

I agree. In this particular case, as it has been in so many other cases, the remake wouldn't be even very good.

reply

No.

I mean, only if it would help fight the type-casting that Jason Statham has endured. The problem I have with Statham is that he might not be able to portray a believable high school teacher. I don't know the extent of his range, though. We're talking about a character who is not just a soldier or a ninja but also a history and geography teacher. Liam Neeson seems like he could definitely pull it off.

reply

What about remaking this with Joel Stubbs? He'll play a believable history professor.
