Almost surely.
Linda was a selfish needy idiot. She was kind to Karl, and did love Frank...but she loved herself more.

I think so too. Women like Linda subconsciously seek out partners like Doyle due to a combination of neediness, desperation, and self-loathing. They also have a mindset where the worst thing in the world is being single, and that being in a relationship, no matter how bad, is the most important thing in their lives.

Highly possible. I didn't see it as a happy ending for the family, more for Karl, because he finally got back where he wanted to be.
