Sling Blade about racism?
I just watched Billy Bob's interview on Inside the Actor Studio. He said Sling Blade was subliminally about racism. Can anyone explain this to me?

shareI too saw that in part on YouTube but maybe the clip I saw didn't pertain to racism so I can't answer that. I'm sure the interview was just a snippet (it was weeks ago when I saw it). I'd have to chase up the full clip. Interesting question which deserves a reply from anyone more familiar with said interview
"These days you have to boil someone before you can sleep with them"
Did Thornton not explain it during the interview?

That's a link to the interview. It's an eight minute clip, the quote I referenced is about half way through.
