Funniest Scene

Even though this was a sad story that scene between Karl and Vaughan in the diner was really funny. How Vaughan wanted to confide in him about being a gay man and how he and Karl have lots in common. Vaughan thinks Karl is deep and wants to know what he's thinking. "Um um I was thinking I might get me some of these French fried potatoes to take home and more cans of meat."

reply

Vaughan's dumbfounded expression when he realizes that not much goes through Karl's mind was pretty hilarious. But it does seem like there's wisdom in being in the moment, which I think Vaughan later realizes at the end when Karl tells him he knows he will be a good father to Frank. Karl was more perceptive than he seemed.

Just saw SB for the first time yesterday. That scene was pretty funny, just the look on Vaughn's face.

Also the scene when Doyle gets his redneck friends together and they start playing their song, lol.

The scene where he's first released and buys French Fries for the first time is hilarious too. From the start where he sees a "gorilla" outside a store and just stares at it in bewilderment right up to when he orders the fries. Classic scene.

reply

Karl: Reckon what you like to eat in there?
Frosty Cream Employee: Well, the French fries are pretty good.
Karl: French fried potaters?
Frosty Cream Employee: Yeah, French fries.
Karl: How much you want for'em?
Frosty Cream Employee: They're .60 for medium and .75 for large.
Karl: 'Reckon I'll have me some of the big 'uns.

lol Great scene.

RANDY: "We need to practice...we need to rehearse."

DOYLE: (smashes beer bottle) "We ain't got no godd#mn band! We don't need to f%ckin practice Randy!"

DOYLE: (practicing with his band) "What'd ya think about that Vaughn?!"

VAUGHN: "Oh, that sounds like a #1 hit tune."

DOYLE: "What about you Karl?"

KARL: "Eehhhmmm...I reckon."

reply

Vaughn says about Doyle, “He’s a dangerous man, I can tell. I’m in tune. I may be psychic, idk.”

Later, “Carl, you always seem to be deep in thought. Tell me, what are you thinking?”

“I was thinking about taking some of these taters home with me.”
