I wonder how Frank's mother felt when she found out Doyle was dead?

That to me would be interesting.

I say that she would have been very sad at Doyle's death because he would have provided for the family and angry that Karl killed him. That is just how most humans would feel about it.

Or do you think the mother was happy and relieved? You know Frank was absolutely thrilled, but the state would have probably forced him into therapy to deal with the "loss".

Any opinions?

I think the mom would have realized that she was relieved. It was her house, not Doyle's.

I guess she was upset. After all she could had thrown him out of her house. She wanted a man.

Sad yea, but ok with it. She can always get another man. She can't replace her son. She would've realized Doyle, if nothing else, at best, was not a person frank could have a healthy relationship with as a stepdad.
