What were the 5o. Cal rifles in this movie called?

M500 (Waxman rifle) and some kind of Barrett 82A1/M107 version (other snipers)

No the back up team used a Barrett. He used a Iver Johnson AMAC 1500. You can usr a silencer on a .50, but more for hiding the muzzle flash and the blast than making the shots quieter.

It's a sequel to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114432/ it's in no means related to the gun he used in the movie.

But not a lot of folks knows that, here in Canada, the title is Silent Trigger II while the first movie was Silent Trigger.

I know it's weird, he does not have the same name and all..

In no way "Silent Trigger" is a sequel to "The Shooter". It may be marketed that way in Canada, but it's not a sequel anywhere else and does not work as one.

There are some films released as false sequels in certain markets, in Germany or Canada for example, but that does not make them a true sequel, it's just marketing and false advertising.
