So many holes and yet
(spoilers of course)
The movie has so many holes that it's ridiculous and yet it was definitely good enough to watch somehow (probably because of all the wet bodies and sexual tension). Serious credit is due to the editor/director for accomplishing such a feat with such a pile of horsepoop. i give it a 6/10
1) so the sniper hesitates to do the 1st job but somehow
a) he is hired again to do a 2nd job by the same agency. No,it cant be from the same agency since they wanted him dead the 1st time (btw they had even sent the chopper to kill him waaaaay before he screwed up the job, incredible insight).
b) he is hired from another agency and somehow 2 protagonists team up again for this job. - makes even less sense than the first hypothesis
c) the agency hires another sniper, but dolph somehow has all the intel of when and where the job is happening, kills the other sniper and takes his place. - this hypothesis is completely unsupported by the movie
guess which is the correct hypothesis: IT'S A) !!!! at the end of the movie when the supervisor comes at the same floor as the 2 protagonists and shoots dolph he is completely unimpressed by the fact that dolph is the sniper that screwed up, and also states "it's a real loss. He was the best".
btw they had agents on the rooftop ready to storm the floor and kill dolph within 1 minute for the scenario that he screws up again. again amazing insight! and it doesn't stop there. they had a second sniper & spotter at a far better location (their building was better aligned with the road) unlike the building dolph lundgren was at where he was supposed to do an impossible shot at an angle
2) the security guards have the strangest reactions
2a)The cocaine-security guard orders a six pack of beers does some cocaine and leaves a stranger enter the building to work without having a work permit and then he harasses her hard. How the hell did he keep the job up to that point and keep in mind he was a senior employee who apparently had the authority to arrange the work shifts of his co-workers!
2b)the spy-security guard has even stranger reactions. He does a thorough search of the perimeter when a camera goes off (and almost spots dolph lundgren while he was sneaking in), he does another search and notices how the floor that the gina bellman was working had no lights on and tips the other guy off, and at some point he was about to call the police until he was stopped by the cocaine addict. All that because supposedly he's a diligent employee which in hindsight make no sense.
3) the building. This building was clearly under construction, had very few windows,no equipment anywhere to be seen (only construction material, pipes, empty barrels and a can of gasoline), few doors and no safety doors at all in the elevator shaft(!) and yet it had not 1 but 2 security guards and a well equipped reception desk with monitors, cameras and a locker with guns. what were they protecting? Btw the floor that gina bellman went to "check the computers" had NO computers or electronics anywhere to be seen, only some light projectors.
