I know that this movie gets a lot of bad reviews. There seem to be a lot out there that don't find it funny. But I think that any criticism this movie recieves is very harsh.

I find it to be endlessly watchable for Steve Martin's performance alone, and I tend to watch it a lot on the movie channels at home when nothing in particular is on. The scenes just never get old to me, and I think that Phil Hartman was great in the movie also. I love the scene between him and paperelli in the restaraunt.

Great movie, underrated

I love the part, when Lt. Thorn is looking through their rooms (when it isn't really their rooms) and he finds a bra, and he asks, "Is this yours" (He's asking a man that) lol, i find that hillarious!!!

lol. God i never noticed that it's not their rooms. I completely forgot that or what, and i have seen that film 3 times, but i swear i'm not dumb. I really thought that guy was such a trans-weirdo.

Most of the sucky reviews come from people who saw the original tv series, and say this wasn't close enough to it.

I never saw the series, but this movie made me laugh from beginning to end....and wow, isn't that what a pointless comedy is SUPPOSED TO DO?
