I mean the next film of Nicolas Cage after Leaving Las Vegas was THIS piece of garbage?! Really?!! And Sean Connery, James Bond himself in this crap?! And Ed Harris...actually good actor...not many good films. I actually saw this one in the theater. 2 hours and $7 later I was regretting every second!

I love this movie! One of my all time favorite action movies! EASILY Michael Bay’s best film. Suspenseful, exciting, and funny. Connery, Cage, and Harris are great here. Bad ass all around.
I’m proud to have it in my movie collection, along with Cage’s two other late 90’s action films, Con Air and Face Off. All awesome action movies, and nobody will tell me any different.

shareNo. The Rock is awesome, and blows today’s Hollywood dreck out of the water. Connery’s character alone is the Antiwoke, which makes him even more incredible and necessary in today’s twisted culture.
The music also deserves a mention, it’s sublime.
I’ll grant that much of the film is action porn (with a totally unnecessary car chase through San Fran) but, unlike recent Bay films, the three great actors you mentioned hold it all together. It’s also 30% comedy and doesn’t even pretend to be preachy or meaningful, just unashamedly enjoyed like the best kind of junk food.
Can you go a post without mentioning wokeness?
