Original script vs. Jonathan Hensleigh's script.

I found this article, Michael Bay said the original script isn't the movie he made, but the original scriptwriters got the writing credits, the real writer behind The Rock is Johnathan Hensleigh, he didn't get credits.

This got me wondering: what does the original script look like? Did anyone read the original script? Does it really read nothing like the final product?

There’s an interview with producer Jerry Bruckheimer in the blu-ray where he mentions that different writers were brought in to work on the screenplay. The only specific things he says is that the original bad guys were just bad guys, instead of an honourable general who was basically bluffing and who had no intention of killing tens of thousands, and that it was Sean Connery’s idea to make his character a former British spy (no idea who he was supposed to be originally).

That is weird, I just finish listen to DVD commentary, Jerry Bruckheimer said the idea of the general being a good guy is from producer Don Simpson from watch 60 Minutes.
