Would you accept a cash reward if you found someone's property?
whether that property be a thing or a person? I think you'd have to be very cheap and very selfish to accept a reward for finding something that means a lot to someone.

shareare you kidding me? you would be very selfish for accepting a reward? if somebody offers a reward, it is because they can afford to give the reward in the first place and it is their idea. Let's say a millionaire offers a thousand dollar reward for finding his lost dog. A guy finds it and gives it to the millionaire is he supposed to say, here's your dog but I don't want your money. You can choose the spend the reward however you want even spend it on charities.
You are obviously a very judgmental person to judge somebody that accepts money that another person is willing to give. Dumbest post I have read in a long time.
You obviously don't get that not every person who loses something is a millionaire. And the reason people offer rewards is because they know they need to give cheap people extra incentive to return something to its rightful owner. I bet you would find that MOST people like to do the right thing for no reward other than appreciation for doing the honest thing. It might seem awesome to make a lot of money just for being lucky finding it, but I personally don't know how they could live with themselves if they accept. Unless the reward is like $20 and they INSIST on giving it. To accept thousands or even hundreds of dollars is wrong.
shareto accept thousands or hundreds of dollars is wrong? you are a moron, if somebody is offering money, then they afford to give it. i just used the 'millionaire' as an example. you don't know how somebody can live with themselves if they accept a reward? you are a total moron that is out of touch with reality.
if you offer a reward you had better better prepared to hand out the reward and you have no reason to judge another person for receiving it. it's just common sense.
would I accept reward money? We've all read so many stories about how homeless people turn in lost suitcases $ and then refuse paybacks...
Dude, I have student debt, rent, to pay for, heck yeah Id take ANY sort of reward dough!!
I don't think you should expect a reward, but if you do something nice for someone, and they then show their appreciation by rewarding you, then I don't have such a problem with that.
However, it was wrong for Jimmy Shaker to accept a reward, as he is a cop, and I heard that cops have to turn down rewards, as it can lead to suspicions to bribery.
There's nothing selfish about accepting a reward, even if it's for something that means a lot to someone.
Just as not everyone offering is a millionaire, not everyone accepting a reward is a millionaire. It might be someone who could use the reward to feed their family or get out of debt.
Now, asking for or demanding a reward, that's a whole different thing.
Can't stop the signal.
I bet coolbrett also think Tom Cruise's character in "Cocktail" (1988) is great for not accepting money from Jordan's father to leave her.
And that one character in "Babel" (2006) is kind and generous not to accept Brad Pitt's money for SAVING his wife.
Then again, how come SOME people ARE able to turn down rewards that are offered to them for doing something good and helpful (see "Babel" (2006) for an already mentioned example and keep an eye on the scene with Brad Pitt and the Moroccan guy towards the end) and OTHERS are NOT?
