It's not this one, but I remember seeing a movie when I was 5 or 6 (so it would have been in the mid-90s) about a black guy who was or became Santa Clause, and that caused controversy. I also seem to remember another Santa Clause, a white one, in a jail cell or a hospital room. That may have been a different movie. I was pretty little and I don't remember the title at all, does anyone know what movie I'm talking about?

This probably isn't the one you're looking for but there was a movie called Must Be Santa from 1999. I think it was made for tv. A black crook becomes Santa Claus for a while. That's probably an awful description.
