Im doing a media project discussing transgender films, and how not all of them are based on hidden sexualities. Would you agree with this statement on this particular film? Are there examples of hidden sexuality through Eddie Murpheys acting, or is he purely a skilled actor managing to perfectly portray a comical family?

I believe Eddie is a skilled actor who took on the challenge of portraying several members of the same family and achieved it beautifully.
