Was Buddy Love really a bad guy?

Maybe not at first but he became one. He was very violent and amoral.

Buddy did seem to have a likable charm in the first half of the movie but he became more and more self centered after he'd gotten back at Reggie

^ Which is why I found it sought of touching that his last words were advice to Sherman, telling him to strut. After all they'd been through, he still seemed to have some sought of brotherly love for Sherman, telling him to be confident, 'no matter what'.

even though he was trying to get rid of sherman for good? basically trying to "kill" him? so much for brotherly love
