How did you like Buddy Love? Me I thought he was as a likeable character in the first half of the movie but during the second half of the movie I thought he was way over the top and got way too egotistical and obnoxious.

Thought he was rude, and stupid didn't like him at all.
shareBuddy got meaner as the film progressed. I think he was supposed to be portrayed that way. Remember in the end Buddy wants to permanently get rid of Sherman.
shareThat was a reference to Jekyll/Hyde because in the book he gradually got worse until the end when Hyde took over for good. That was the basic inspiration for the original Jerry Lewis movie and it runs off to this one.
I liked this version much better than Lewis's. He was a fun guy and for the first half he was rootable as he got back at the comedian and enjoyed his new style. He turned into a dick at the end and he had to be put down.
I didn't like him. I thought he was obnoxious and every time he smiled he irritated me.
The only time I enjoyed him was when he disgraced that comedian who embarrassed Sherman.
Buddy was hilarious i thought he was funnier in the second film
