Hey,

What is the title of that sad song that is continuously being played throughout the movie, whenever something sad occurs like that time when the prof apologizes to the carly about his family and all.

does anybody has any clue as to what is the song title is?

I don't know, but it's obviously one of David Newman's songs in the soundtrack album.
