Sherman wears glasses, why not Buddy?

Why does Buddy not have to wear glasses? I guess the potion cured his vision as well? Or, maybe Sherman didn't have prescription glasses and wore them just for fun?

maybe it gives the audience the message that glasses aren't sexy...or not. it happened in the original film as well so i suppose that's an oversight they didn't address. am guessing that the potion gave him good eyesight to spot the ladies with
