How does Eddie Murphy played all the roles of: Anna Klump, Cletus Klump, Ernie Klump Sr. Grandma Klump, and Sherman at the same time? Do they have to film each character one at a time?

Yes, let's say he was playing Sherman on one day and playing Ernie on another. He would have a stand in next to him so that he has somebody to react to, and the next day he would film the Ernie bit, and vice versa.
I'm a film student and have tried it and it is extremely complicated.
That's interesting, because I heard that Eddie Murphy was talking to a tennis ball. It's a standard routine with actors talking to themselves while playing multiple roles.
