Thanks I too have been looking for the lyrics.

Obi-Wan: Ninth time. That business on Cato Neimodia doesn't count.

If you have not alread bought it (and are interested in buying it), Disney is selling the DVD of "Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest" that is packaged with a "bonus" audio CD of 10 Disney Pirate songs. Since Disney and Jim Henson Productions teamed up on Muppet Treasure Island, at least two of the songs on the DVD are from here.

First one is "Shiver My Timbers", second is "Sailing to Adventure".

They are not the same versions as heard in the movie though. While the lyrics are the same, they are different recordings with voices that are not as "Muppet" sounding.

"Shiver My Timbers" is my favorite on the CD, and I actually like the version on the CD better. It is quite menacing sounding.

"Sailing to Adventure" ("on the big blue wet thing") is also quite good. Again, the really muppety sounding voices are gone (as well as "Jim Hawkins" and Tim Curry's) and the bits of dialogue that are heard during the song on the moive, but it sounds great... has a very rich Broadway sound to it with a very big finish.

While the songs in the movie (with the Muppet voices) are good when viewed in context of the moive, the recordings of the songs on the CD are even better... they no longer sound like "kids songs" from a Muppet / Disney movie, but rather well written and well performed songs in their own right.
