Question about 'Something Better'

In both versions I've seen (which have been recorded off the TV) the song "Something Better" begins with the line "I look around here and I want to cry". However, when I downloaded the song online, it had a whole extra verse at the beginning. Was this verse only ever on the soundtrack, or was it cut from the TV version of the film?

I'm anaspeptic, frasmotic, even compunctuous to have caused you such pericumbobulations...

I just watched this on DVD and as soon as Jim, Gonzo, and Rizzo came in from outside the song immediately began with Jim singing the line "I look around here and I want to cry". If it was cut for the TV version then they didn't rectify it for the DVD. I have no idea about the sound track. Sorry.

reply

No. It was always cut that way in the VHS while the soundtrack has all the verses. Even Cabin Fever's extra verses before the "dosey doe" verse weren't filmed I believe.

Thank you! I'm so glad I don't have to hunt around for the full film version if it was never there.
