shareThe music is what weaves this movie together. The content is surface but depicts sexuality which is in great part longing coupled with 1940's L.A. underbelly brutishness; it is not surprising that the musical theme haunts. I believe the composer's name is Drusin.
shareThe score was by DAVE GRUSIN... and in the spirit of Jerry Goldsmiths score for "Chinatown"... Grusin decided NOT to simulate music of the 1940s, but rather made an atmospheric score to give mood and feeling. It was a brilliant soundtrack and haunting and romantic in my opinion. There was a soundtrack released on CD, but it is long out-of-print. I own it and it is very beautiful.
