Please, if anyone has an idea of where I can access the soundtrack of this film I'd greatly appreciate it. There is a band called Waterville Patio who did the music and I've always wanted to get an idea of where they ended up, or get a copy of the music. Thanks Gavin Egbert [email protected]
I was curious, so I used some of my favorite tools.
I don't know if there is a soundtrack - I'm inclined to think not. You can check the end credits of the movie; usually, movies state the availability of a soundtrack there.
Tried "Waterville Patio" in Google - no luck.
Tried it in All Music Guide (www.allmusic.com). Lucky their search engine is fuzzy and good enough to come up with Watsonville Patio. Check out AMG for a bio, discography, etc. for them.
Tried again with Google with "Watsonville Patio". They have a website: http://www.watsonvillepatio.com. Their "About" page confirms they had two songs, "Lavender" and "Kiss The Boy Goodbye", in "Mojave Moon".
You can buy their CD's online; they have a link to CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com). They even have "Lavender", and some of their other songs, as free MP3 downloads. Amazon.com also sells their CD's.
Their website also had a link to a review of "Mojave Moon" at http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/Reviews/Reviews.asp?ID=3989. This website seems to have pretty good information about movies. So one good turn leads to another; doing this search led me to another good website.
You can try to collect your own "soundtrack" by noting which songs you like in the end credits of the movie. And you can look at sites such as IMDB's and Michael D's Region 4 DVD Info Page to find information on the composers and then do searches on them.
Do you know what the song is when Danny and Ann are on the deck after the first time he meets her... the lyrics go, "little girl lost" or something to that effect. It sounds like an old song. I love the sound of it.
does anyone know which of the songs on the soundtrack is the one that was played when elli was on the hood of the car smoking and drinking? also the last song ??
The song playing on the car radio is Kiss the Boy Good-bye by Watsonville Patio. If you go to amazon.com you can buy their CDs (they have half a dozen, it's on their first one). The song playing while the credits roll is called Bad Place by Standard Fruit. I've searched for it but I can't find it on any CD. I could only find one CD by Standard Fruit and the song isn't on it.
