It still looks cutting edge to this day. If it was filmed today they'd probably go overboard with the CGI and it wouldn't look half as real.

Tom Cruise would have been CGI on top of a CGI train.

True. Tom is awesome. But without him it would have been a CGI fest.

I couldn’t agree more, it’s a fantastic and thrilling sequence. It still holds up so well.

I must be one of the few but I never liked this scene mostly cause when I snuck into the theatre it was to this exact sequence and I didnt get it. When I saw the movie fully I still didnt get it. Lol. It just doesnt make sense. Neither old voight nor Tom Cruise could handle that scene nor did it have anything to do with the movie and the climax was a huge let down that lead to this scene in an attempt to try sell it’s glorious ending but to me it just came bland. But for what it’s worth a like the sequels a lot less.
