Mother not at wedding

Did anyone else notice that Rose's mother did not attend the wedding? Was she so opposed to the wedding that she refused to come? Or was Lauren Bacall simply not available for shooting that day? Any thoughts?

I think the poster is referring to when Rose gets married at City Hall. Yeah, the movie makes it pretty clear that Hannah doesn't approve (and I have to say, the reason behind the marriage is kinda ridiculous). So I think her not being there is a way of saying she really is against it.
