Frackin' stupid, awful crap. That shot where the camera goes all the way down her whole body...and the guy is speechless and then nearly faints when she leaves. Gag. And the entire student body being blown away by her new appearance and the boys in class practically drooling over her...just stop it.

And the end credits where the two of them are in the street throwing each other around and he hikes her leg up like he's trying to do her on the hood of that car...wow, just, wow.

i love jeff bridges as well and i'm not the biggest barbara streisand fan either, but i feel that both acted great in this film...

i enjoyed the ending where they're dancing in the street....i thought it made for a great happy ending...and also shows that when gregory is in love he gets crazy, goes overboard and is distracted with reality...it made the relationship sort of believable...

So bad that it's fun. You have to give it to Barbra - she's got a healthy ego. Her character goes from a frump into - yes, Barbra Streisand and suddenly Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Bridges are smitten.

I like the sequence where she does the transformation. I laughed out loud in the theater!

I though Jeff bridges way over acted. And, there was no depth to his performance.

I agree. Terrible movie.

Why do Hollywood scriptwriters insist on treating their math-oriented characters like they need to learn about life? Holy smokes. I've probably met more math profs than they have, and believe me, math profs have lives & hobbies outside of work. I was a math major, and I just laugh when someone obsessed with stereotypes tries to teach me something about life. I know they're only doing it because I studied math.

If it weren't for math/science, we wouldn't have movies/Internet at our disposal. Do the Hollywood brains think that movies just came out of nowhere?
