i wouldn't call this movie a brilliant film, but i have realized that when i find it on tv, i always get sucked in! jeff bridges is weird, but cute. and the old "ugly duckling finds her wings and becomes swan" theme is cliche, but still an appealing story. its hard to resist a nice fairytale sometimes.
shareI suppose you can call it a fairy tale because this story is completely unbelievable. This handsome college professor has no problem dating super models and obviously enjoys sex so much that the mere thought of it makes him dizzy cannot possibly and suddenly become completely uninterested in sex. He just had sex and he likes it; how can he all of a sudden not crave it anymore? It does not make any sense at all. So ya it is a "fairytale".
