Christmas music at concert

Never saw this movie before but I'm watching it right now and it's during their first date and they go to the symphony orchestra's concert (or whatever) and the Christmas song they are playing is Carol of the Bells. And it's clearly the same Trans Siberia Orchestra version that you hear every single year at Christmas but that orchestra is supposed to be playing it live.

I know it's a small thing, but it really distracted me and drew me out of the movie because TSO's version is so easily recognizable.

I'm sure you all probably think I'm mad, lol.

David Foster maybe, not TSO. Besides, the song is way older than TSO,

That is TSO's version of that song. The OP is absolutely right. This is their version that you hear all throughout the holidays. I found it distracting as well.

TSO was founded in '96, this movie came out in '96, probably filmed in '95. Maybe TSO stole from this movie?
