come on!!!!
how come there are no posts here? where have the JCVD fans gone!?
shareBeen waiting for another movie from him thats what. I hope if when he does another he can do one that does not rely on his fighting abilities. He should also stay off the heroine, from what I hear thats where he's been, rehab.
shareI just viewed IN HELL Van Damme's latest effort and it was very different. In a good way. JCVD's acting ability truly comes out in this film (I always thought he was a decent actor), Lam has directed him well.
In Hell will take some more viewings to grow on me, but as of right now I can see it being in my Top 5 Van Damme films of all-time list.
I look forward to more from him.
Words like violence. Break the silence.
Come crashing in. Into my little world.
Yeah, I saw that recently. I think it is his best yet. My hopes are coming true, he is returning to form. Hopefully his next film, something about triads, will be just as good, if not better.

I´m not a fan of JCVD and he is not a good actor. He did a handful watchable films and I personally like only two: MAXIMUM RISK and HARD TARGET. TIMECOP and SUDDEN DEATH are watchable as well. The rest is crap - more or less.
It´s very clear - his best films are made only by good directors.

Hi Stoil. I'm guessing you aren't a heterosexual female. A very long time ago my best friend dragged me to the theater to see "some guy with great buns" doing nude splits in "some martial arts movie" and I've been hooked ever since. He does seem quite comfy in his own skin, a refreshing quality.
I think acting skills are liked or disliked according to personal preference. For me his skills have developed over time, and his inflections usually reflect his English as a second (or later) language. Furthermore, I'd be hard pressed to find an American male actor who can make love scenes look so natural.
I'm not criticizing, but I'd like to point out that as much as I love "Lawrence of Arabia" I'd never compare the *styles* of acting in that movie to those styles I'd find in a martial arts flick. Just my perspective.

What about Kickboxer? If you liked Bloodsport, I'm sure you'd like Kickboxer too. Also, Universal Soldier was directed by Roland Emmerich of Godzilla and Independence Day fame. What do you think if Emmerich's work?

Man you guys are crazy! Kickboxer, universal soldier, Timecop, Death warrant, cyborg, in hell, wake of death, legionnaire, maximum risk, LIONHEART, DOUBLE IMPACT, & REPLICANT are all great films.
shareone of his worst movies ever, total crap
bloodsport and maybe kickboxer are the only good ones (he can fight but his acting sucks)
