I know Tim Burton was a HUGE fan of 50/60s era sci-fi & horror flicks...anyone confirm if he's a fan of the Big G? This is the 2nd TB film in which Godzilla makes a cameo (the other being Pee Wee's Big Adventure).

His most recent acquisition for his Godzilla collection: a factory sealed copy the in-print, then gone-faster-than-light-speed outta print again, blu-ray of "Destroy All Monsters", the 1968 Godzilla +mega-guest-stars extravaganza. I know the fellow who sold it to him.

I'm fairly certain Burton was once slated to direct the 1998 version of Godzilla but went onto other projects.
