Watch this for the first time since the 90's

Boring and plotless. I could have sworn this movie was at least 2 and a half hours long but it just felt that way.

My sentiments exactly. I love every Tim Burton movie except this. It could have been as short as World of Stainboy.

I am the exact opposite... Tim Burton is a one trick pony, so this being his least stylized film is a good thing. Have you seen Alice in Wonderland?
Mars Attacks! is definitely a cheesy popcorn romp, although it could have used a lot more gore. You clearly just didn't "get" it.
