Alright. So the gun she assembles from the secret compartment in the suitcase....what gives?? She says what was found on her when she washed up on the beach and there was never a suitcase. Was it intended to be like the Charlie side put the gun there at some point in the last 8 years?
shareMitch brings the suitcase with him; Charlie's former landlady kept it in storage after Charlie (her "favorite tenant") failed to return to her apartment. So, the suitcase and that very cool rifle is from her pre-Sam past, not her present.
shareI totally forgot he mentioned that ~ it never dawned on me why she all of a sudden was looking through it at the motel as if it was something new to her. Now that totally explains the rest of that scene ... from her finding the book, postcard, etc.
