Do the gangsters eventually kill Big Ernie McCracken?
I would have liked to see that, after they have gotten a hold of him.
I saw you breaking the 5th Commandment. Congress passes these things for a reason.

If they don't kill him, they probably beat him up badly and make him have a hook like Roy Munson. Maybe it would've been better to show at the end of the film, Ern with two hooks, rather than the outtake of the landlady.
shareI hope they killed that *beep* can't believe they made him win!
shareI liked it that he won and not Munson. Munson winning would have just been a cliche. In the end, Munson still has a victory, with his drinking over and a contract with the shoe company.
shareMunson got a contract with the Trojan Condom company, big difference from shoes ( really big difference ).
I concur having him win in the end would have been too cliche for a film of that nature.
rumor has it big ern was bowled over by a runaway horse buggy. some say it was the quakers. others don't care. while a few think it's all an amish conspiracy to smear the quakers.
Yo, bartender, Jobu needs a refill.
Nah,finally Big Ern was above the law,he could buy anyone, including petty criminals. He'd never get Munsoned by those guys.In a perfect world he'd get his own movie.I want to see Big Ern in politics or some kind of public office, living it up on a gravy train with biscuit wheels, and continuing his work with young unmarried mothers.
shareBill Murray was finally "munsoned" after the zombie apocalypse when playing a practical joke on Jesse Eisenberg (sp?) after Woody gives him the idea.
shareReally every farelly brothers film follows a similar formula and one of the big one is that things get bad before the ending but a silver window appears;
Fever pitch the main character breaks up and is about to give up his red sox tickets.
Stuck on you the twins get separated and realize they are depressed
shallow hal the curse gets lifted and they break up
Me, Myself and Irene the adventure ends and Carrey and Zelleweger part ways.
There's something about Mary; Ben stiller gives up on Mary after getting caught.
Dumb and Dumber; this one is different that things start to go south (neither character gets the girl and the money runs out) and don't pick up. No happy ending, the characters probably end the film worse off than they start it but it's just so funny.
And Kingpin of course; he doesn't win but he gets quite a bit in return. Gets a steady job, falls in love, gains a lifelong friend whom he helps.
would have been funny to see Ernie get munsoned but the landlady scene is like a horrific image.
he's got panache & style!
