Judging by the music, the dancing, and the wild sex - all signs point to Ecstasy as the drug being swallowed by Anne Heche.

One pill of ecstasy doesn't kill you. It wasn't ecstasy - it was a suicide pill of sorts...maybe cyanide. I just can't remember the name of it :)

What he FORCES her to take (not the Ecstasy that she chooses to take earlier) is some sort of cocktail of downers that he lists off to her, and as a doctor, she knows exactly what the purpose of taking them would be. I believe Nebutol was one of them.

Secobarbital was another, it's a strong barbiturate. Yes, it was a cocktail of downers and he made her take several.
