stupid plot twist (spoiler)

So her best friend is being threatened by the suspect in a murder case that is being covered by all the media. So how on Earth is it possible that the Anne Heche character starts an affair with this guy?

reply

Because she had never seen Vince AKA The Teacher before, did not have a clue what he looked like. The guy was very good at making people trust him.

I may not agree with your opinion, but I will defend to the death your right to disagree!

He wasn't a suspect and he wasn't on trial. No one knew who he was.

reply

exactly. that's no rocket science. he was such a behind-the-scenes guy - no one knew who he was.

I thought that was a rather good twist. Anne Heche's character just very quickly mentions at one point she has a new boyfriend and a bit later we found out it's Alec Baldwin's character, who she nor anyone else could have known at that point.

Not to say it's a great movie but I did like that part, the subtle mention of the relationship could not make you think it would end up being Baldwin at that time.

I knew it would be him and I'm usually pretty slow when it comes to twists but as soon as she said she had a new boyfriend I knew. The way he kept playing the tape back when her named was mentioned and could hear Annie and her son writing stuff. I could tell he was gonna get to her friend.
