Why weren't they sequestered?

I haven't seen this film for a long while and I can't remember much the details of this movie so I have probably forgotten some details.

But why wasn't Moore's character and the rest of the jury sequestered given such a high profile mob case? That surely would have made a hell of a lot more sense!

A really good point that I kept coming back to, whilst watching the film. She appears to live in a semi-rural location which she keeps conveniently going back to each night. Presumably the trial is in the city. It doesn't make any sense at all. Surely there'd be some form of jury security.

You guys definitively raise some good points. It wasn't believable, they make it look like jury tempering doesn't even exist at all.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

Yeah, makes no sense at all. Especially since it's a mafia case.
