I LOL'd when that detective knocked the guy down and started talking *beep* just that whole scene was poorely filmed.
And then there were just so many things wrong with the dad phoning from prison bit that I don't know where to start.

The detective's dialogue was pretty cheesy there and in the scene where she first spoke to Jack at the bar, too. They had her playing bad cop with no good cop to back her up and it came off sounding like the writer had watched too many cop shows. And the actress playing her seemed to be trying to make it sound convincing but it still kinda made me cringe. :)
