I get goosebumps during the whole build up from when the ship opens to when Jeff Goldblum says "Times up".
Please tell me I'm not the only one
I wonder if today there would be backlash against having so many people still in the cities including visible kids to get vaporized
shareI remember seeing this film at the cinema. The hype around it was huge and part of the enjoyment seeing it on the big screen, aside from the visual effects, was the build up towards the first attack. It did a pretty good job in that regard. For the time it was a great cinematic experience, especially as these big CGI blockbuster films were still relatively fresh. Unfortunately it hasn't dated well and most of the great I recognised in it as a kid has been replaced by cringe and cheese. I'll always have those memories of when it first came out though.
